Designing a WhatsApp Poster: A Personal Project to Attract New Clients

As a graphic designer, I'm always looking for innovative ways to showcase my services and attract new clients. Recently, I decided to design a poster specifically for my WhatsApp contacts, highlighting my graphic design services and encouraging them to reach out for their design needs.


The Concept

The idea behind the poster was simple: create a visually appealing design that grabs the attention of my WhatsApp contacts and communicates my services in a clear and concise manner. I wanted to make it obvious that I'm a graphic designer and that I'm available to help with any design projects they may have.


The Design

To create the poster, I started by selecting a bold and eye-catching color scheme that would stand out on a mobile device. I then added a large, floating screenshot of a WhatsApp chat, complete with my own chat bubbles and contact information. This element was crucial in immediately conveying that the poster was related to WhatsApp.


To add some visual interest and depth to the design, I incorporated some subtle gradients and shadows. I also included some simple, yet effective, graphics to break up the text and make the poster more engaging.


The Details

Here's a breakdown of the key elements in the poster:


- Floating WhatsApp screenshot: This element immediately conveys that the poster is related to WhatsApp and showcases my contact information.

- Graphic design services: I clearly listed my basic services for digital and print materials to let potential clients know what I can offer.

- Contact information: My WhatsApp contact details are prominently displayed at the bottom of the poster, making it easy for interested clients to get in touch.

- Color scheme: The bold and bright whatsapp brand colors used in the poster are designed to grab attention and stand out on a mobile device.



The Result

I'm thrilled with how the poster turned out, and I'm excited to share it with my WhatsApp contacts. The design effectively communicates my services and contact information while also showcasing my creativity and attention to detail as a graphic designer.

Experimenting with Jitter: A Graphic Designer's First Impression

  As a graphic designer, I'm always on the lookout for new tools and software to expand my creative horizons. Recently, I had the opportunity to experiment with Jitter Video Animator, and I'm excited to share my first impressions. My first project with Jitter was to create a 7-second intro animation for Izwi Lomzansi 98.0 FM's logo. I was tasked with bringing their static logo to life, and Jitter seemed like the perfect tool for the job. From the get-go, I was impressed with Jitter's user-friendly interface. Designing the Book Cover for Super Nurse by Prof. Nokuthula Sibiya

  This was one of those projects that reminded me why I love what I do  I recently had the chance to design the book cover for Super Nurse , written by Prof. Nokuthula Sibiya — and it was such a fun and inspiring experience My Design Process I started off in Photoshop 2022 (yep, still rocking the 2022 version šŸ˜…). That’s where I built the main layout and got the overall look and feel right — playing with color, light, and the visual emotion I wanted the cover to have. Once that base design came together, I moved over to Illustrator to handle the finer details — the typography, spine, and back layout.
