This was one of those projects that reminded me why I love what I do 
I recently had the chance to design the book cover for Super Nurse, written by Prof. Nokuthula Sibiya — and it was such a fun and inspiring experience

My Design Process

I started off in Photoshop 2022 (yep, still rocking the 2022 version 😅). That’s where I built the main layout and got the overall look and feel right — playing with color, light, and the visual emotion I wanted the cover to have.

Once that base design came together, I moved over to Illustrator to handle the finer details — the typography, spine, and back layout. Illustrator always gives me that crisp vector control I need to make everything print-ready and clean.


The Vision

The goal was simple: create a cover that celebrates the power, heart, and resilience of nurses. I wanted it to feel professional, warm, and heroic — just like the title.

Final Thoughts

Even though I’m still using Photoshop 2022, it just proves that you don’t need the latest tools to create something powerful. It’s all about creativity, patience, and passion for your craft.

Designing Super Nurse reminded me that every project tells a story — and I’m just grateful I got to help bring this one to life 💙

Experimenting with Jitter: A Graphic Designer's First Impression

  As a graphic designer, I'm always on the lookout for new tools and software to expand my creative horizons. Recently, I had the opportunity to experiment with Jitter Video Animator, and I'm excited to share my first impressions. My first project with Jitter was to create a 7-second intro animation for Izwi Lomzansi 98.0 FM's logo. I was tasked with bringing their static logo to life, and Jitter seemed like the perfect tool for the job. From the get-go, I was impressed with Jitter's user-friendly interface. As a graphic designer, I'm comfortable working with design software, and Jitter felt almost like animating on a digital canvas. The intuitive controls and drag-and-drop functionality made it easy for me to navigate and experiment with different animations.
